Two elective courses are required
for award of the River Restoration Professional Certificate,
in addition to the required five
core courses.
We encourage participants in
the RRPCP to select elective courses outside their existing
discipline area, as a means of broadening awareness and knowledge
of the various roles on an integrated restoration team. However,
we recognize that ongoing professional development may require
participants to seek courses that provide additional information
and techniques relevant to their area of expertise.
PSU will offer a selection
of qualifying
electives throughout the year, but will accept qualifying
credits from other institutions or professional associations.
In order to meet the elective
requirement for the RRPCP, each elective course must be at
least one day in duration and must relate in a direct way
to the practice of river restoration.
