Portland State University
Currently offers the professional certificates listed below.
For all certificate programs, the required courses must be
completed within three years and need not be taken in the
listed sequence, with one exception: if you plan to complete
the River Restoration Professional Certificate, you must begin
with "EPP 221 - Introduction to River Restoration, Part
I: Physical Processes".
The River Restoration required
core courses will be offered at least twice per calendar year,
once as individual professional short courses, and once in
the Summer Field Institute, for those who prefer to take all
five core courses together in a four-week field intensive
format. Click here for more information
about the River Restoration Professional Cerificate Program.
For the other certificate programs,
courses are offered once per year. Most wetland field courses
are offered in the winter and spring.
Any of our courses may be taken
individually, provided that any prerequisites are met by the
student. Most courses offer CEU or PDH, and many offer optional
graduate credit.
